My children are getting into trouble.
If your children are getting into trouble with the law put them on a course of good behavior.
A good method that works well is to try getting them interested in law enforcement careers. They find this field exciting and sadly with crime escalating so fast today this profession certainly has a bright future.
These organizations listed below can spark your children’s interest to go to the right side of the law.
Get your youngsters involved with the little known organization Junior Town Watch at 215-686-1459
Get them involved with…
That service includes athletics, homework clubs, computer outreach programs, self-esteem workshops and countless friendships and relationships that have made a positive impact in the life of thousands of children. PAL is "Cops Helping Kids."
The heart of the program is the special relationship between the youth and the dedicated police officers that supervise the centers and activities.
Young people can participate in all these activities, without ever paying a penny.

I call places for help only to be disconnected or put in a loop.
Try again and make the call and when you can’t stand the frustration any longer, stop for the day and try again tomorrow. The key here is to keep trying. Eventually you will get through to that one sweet person to help you that will treat you like your own daughter or son would.
When you get through to an organization for help and they say that they don’t handle the particular area that you live in, ask them if they would be so kind to direct you to the organization that offers assistance for your neighborhood.
After they help you, always remember to ask them for their name and extension number. That way if you ever have to get back to that person who was kind and helpful to you, you will be able to call them again and get right through to them.
Just remember that you are not alone with your illness. There are millions of Americans that share the same dilemma as you and many organizations, though difficult to find at times, are there to help you through it.
I call places for help only to be treated terrible by the phone operator. They are curt and cruel and talk faster than I can write. They have no patience with me. Why are some people so mean?
When you get that mean person on the phone make an excuse to call again later. Try calling again the next day. You may find a different person answering the phone that will be nice to you.
Some people in this life are truly mean and others are mean and don’t really want to be. When you get to know the other person’s motivations you often can understand why they behave the way that they do.
I have a friend who learned this lesson very well one time. He worked with a man who talked very loud and obnoxiously. He had to put up with this co-worker for over a year like this. A time came when my friend was leaving this job for another. It was his last day at work and the time grew near for him to tell his co-worker off. Well he and his co-workers were all sitting at the lunch table and he was about to make his move when the fella started talking about his parents that he lived with. His deaf parents. Yes, ever since he was a child he would have to talk very loudly to his then hearing impaired parents. My friend felt so ashamed and sobbed quietly to himself at the table. Try to understand these mean people as they could turn out to be the nicest people in the world only waiting for someone to understand them. A good rule for all of us to live by is to treat everyone as if they are your own Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, etc. Think about it. When you are trying to merge in traffic your “Son” would let you in. When you are scared at the hospital the nurse, your “Daughter” would comfort you. When you are trying to lift that heavy grocery into your cart, your “Nephew” would come to your rescue smiling all the while.
I have to keep the thermostat set low because I am having trouble affording the heating bill. I can’t cope with being so uncomfortable, especially with my condition. What can I do?

Some of the organizations that I finally get through to tell me that the information that I need is on the World Wide Web. Now what do I do? What is the World Wide Web anyway?
The World Wide Web is a very wonderful thing. To the determent of our older generation, more and more of these resources are being advertised on the World Wide Web. I know that most of you don’t have a computer, don’t know how to use a computer, and don’t want to be bothered to learn how to at this stage in your life. This is nothing to be ashamed of.
If an organization has told you that the information you need, or the form you need to fill out is “On the Web”, it should be noted that computers hooked up to the World Wide Web are available for free use at most libraries. Call around to find the library located nearest to you that has a computer hooked up to the World Wide Web. When you get there you may met a kind librarian who will assist you and use the computer for you.
The existence of the World Wide Web, with its wealth of knowledge, will dramatically curtail the duplication of research, which will allow more efforts to be made on new research. Also discoveries in one field will find their way for use in other fields. This will significantly propel the medical industry into faster and faster discoveries of cures.
Remember that the illness that effects you today may be cured or minimized in the very near future. You have to hang on to life to get there.

A Side Note
For over 10 years now I have made it a point to help pay for a service man’s meal.
When I go to a restaurant and find solders there, I call their waiter over and give him or her money to apply to the solder’s meal.
Recently I was at a fast food establishment and paid for the meal for the two solders in line behind me.
Anger fills my body. How can this be? What are we teaching our children?
And sadly our solders are fighting for us so that our next generation can obliviously go on screaming and giggling loudly about boyfriends, clothing, hair styles, jewelry, money, and cars

I try to do this as graciously as possible and usually leave before they know.
I find myself with mixed feelings, happy to help our soldiers, angry that I see so very few people following my lead.
While speaking with them I overhead a commotion going on at a table near us.
Five young girls were screaming and giggling loudly about boyfriends, clothing, hair styles, jewelry, money, cars, etc.,
and were completely oblivious to the solders that were there and what they stand for.
The girls were all on their cell phones speaking to “no one” “about nothing” and one girl was having a crisis
because she had just broken a nail.
Why isn’t this highly profitable fast food chain offering anything to our soldiers?
and be able to continue to be on their cell phones for hours speaking to…
